Empowering people towards excellence.

About Lifeskills Support

Some of the areas a Lifeskills Support Worker can assist a person with a disability include:

*  Budgeting; managing bills and expenses

*  Grocery planning and cooking

*  Managing household duties

*  Managing health and medical issues

*  Managing a schedule for home and work

*  Social skills and relationships

A Lifeskills Support Worker works with a person a couple of hours a week or a couple of hours a day, depending on the needs.

PNGI commits to providing truly individualized Lifeskills Support.  People are not put into groups and do not learn Lifeskills in an unnatural or segregated setting or 'day program'.  PNGI also committs to providing consistent and knowlegable services. To this end, each client has a support person who works with him/her on a regular basis.  You can count on this.

Accessing Services:

If you live in the Terrace, or Kitimat areas and are interested in getting a referral for these services for an adult with a developmental disability you can contact your local Community Living BC (CLBC) office.

For any other inquiries, contact PNGI directly.
